ACCOUNTING BREEZE CELEBRATES 10 YEARS OF SUCCESS, GROWTH, AND COMMUNITY IMPACT

El Segundo-Based Financial Firm Reflects on a Decade of Personalized Service and Financial Guidance

El Segundo, CA, August 26 – Accounting Breeze, a financial firm based in El Segundo, California, proudly celebrates its tenth anniversary, marking a decade of dedicated service to the South Bay community and beyond. Founded by Nury Gomez, CEO, Founder, and President, the company has grown from a modest one-client operation into a thriving business that supports hundreds of clients with financial and business-planning services.

Nury, a self-described “CFO for hire” and proud “mompreneur,” started Accounting Breeze under humbling circumstances. Following a job loss and the untimely passing of her beloved brother, Dennis, Nury harnessed her resilience and determination to launch the company in April 2014. With an MBA from Pepperdine University and one client, she began her journey from her home in El Segundo. As her reputation grew, so did her client base, which led to moving her business to a small office on Main Street later that year. By 2015, Nury hired her first employee and now proudly leads a team of five, operating out of a larger office suite at the corner of Imperial Avenue and Main Street.

A Decade of Personalized Financial Services

Accounting Breeze provides standard bookkeeping and tax-return preparation, but Nury has expanded her offerings to meet the complex needs of her clients. Over the last ten years, her firm has evolved into a true financial and business-planning partner, serving small- and medium-sized businesses with services ranging from payroll and budgeting to strategic planning and goal-setting.

Reflecting on her journey, Nury shares, “At this point, ten years from the start, I’ve seen clients grow their personal budgets. I’ve seen them go from starting businesses to buying homes. I’ve watched their children grow and go to college.” This personal touch, she explains, sets Accounting Breeze apart. “I’m going to get in your business, literally, if you’re my client,” she laughs. “I need to know your business and your personal goals. They are intertwined. The more I know about you, the more I can help you.”

Innovative New Services: Tiered Memberships for Personalized Financial Coaching

Driven by a passion for helping people achieve their dreams, Nury has recently introduced a new service: tiered membership programs that offer personalized financial coaching. “The Accountability” membership focuses on intentional financial planning with a team approach, while “The Breezy” offers comprehensive CFO-style financial planning, tax preparation, social-media content, and more. “I was called to start coaching because I believe in leading by example,” says Nury. “I now have so much advice and guidance to offer based on my own experiences.”

Looking Ahead: Financial Education and Community Empowerment

As Accounting Breeze looks forward to the next decade, Nury is committed to expanding her impact even further. Her future plans include earning a Doctorate degree, returning to teaching, and developing a financial literacy program for El Segundo High School through her nonprofit, Financialize the Future Foundation. “Too many kids are heading off to university without sufficient tax, budget, and money-management knowledge,” she notes, highlighting the importance of financial education at a young age.

In addition to her work at Accounting Breeze, Nury is the founder of South Bay Empowered Women in Business, a networking group that offers local businesswomen opportunities to connect and collaborate at no cost. This passion for community building and empowerment remains at the core of Nury’s business philosophy.

10th Anniversary Celebration and Small Business Expo

To commemorate its 10th anniversary, Accounting Breeze will host an all-day celebration on October 19, 2024, at the historic El Segundo Woman’s Club. This invitation-only event will feature live entertainment, refreshments, and visits from local government officials. Attendees will also have the chance to meet and engage with some of Accounting Breeze’s small-business clients at the expo booths.
