Automaker Stellantis announced on Tuesday that Bob Broderdorf will be appointed as the head of Jeep North America. This strategic move will strengthen the brand’s operations and prepare it for its upcoming electrified portfolio.
New Leadership Role:
Bob Broderdorf, who previously was senior vice president for Ram brand operations and oversaw sales operations at Dodge, will now manage strategy, sales, and marketing for the Jeep brand across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
His diverse experiences within the automotive sector are expected to be crucial to the brand’s future direction.
Focus on Electrification:
Carlos Zarlenga, the COO of Stellantis North America, underscored the significance of Broderdorf’s diverse background.
He noted that it will be crucial as Jeep gears up to launch its electrified portfolio over the next several years. This strategic move is in perfect alignment with the industry’s shift towards electric vehicles and the increasing consumer demand for sustainable options.
The transition of Leadership:
Broderdorf succeeds Bill Peffer, who will take on the leadership role for North America network development effective October 1. In this new role, Peffer will manage the company’s regional dealer network.
Bill Peffer will replace Phil Langley, who will retire after more than 40 years with Stellantis. Langley will remain in his current role until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition for the dealer network and help maintain continuity during this leadership change.
